I learned to knit at my grandmother knee at the ages of about 7 and knitted right through school and up until my children got to an age where they refused to wear hand knits. I started knitting again seriously, about 11 years ago after a hiatus of about 10 years. Then I discovered the online knitting community. Knitting on a small island in the middle of the English Channel can be rather lonely.
Thanks to the Internet I have rediscovered my knitting mojo, learned to spin, acquired a stash ( both yarn and fibre) bought a wheel and started designing in earnest – not necessarily in that order.
These days I spend my time designing for a range of independent yarn companies and magazines here in the UK and across the pond in the US, as well as self publishing a number of designs through Ravelry.com under my Ravelry name
Hi, I’ve just bought the good fortune shawl pattern. I’m confused about amounts. I have 300m of shilasdair yarn from a Skye wool dyer (lovely you should google and have a look). Is this enough? I note that you say on ravelry 300m and the pattern says 200g.

I am trying to knit Rapunzel shawl (Mystery KAL in 2018), on row 101 and not sure if I am knitting correctly. Is there a possibility of receiving a picture of the top of the shawl? I love your patterns and knitted the Heidi shawl, but dislike light weight fingering yarn. Thank you.
