I think it is safe to say that one of my favorite design jobs every year is the Christmas Club for The Unique Sheep.
Over the years we have done some lovely things, but even if I say so myself I think this years is the best yet.
This year I have designed a lace shawl based on the Christmas rose or Hellebore.
The ladies at The Unique Sheep came up with 2 colourways. One based on the traditional green/cream variety and the other on one of the more colourful pink hybrids. Add a few beads for a bit of Christmas bling and Bob’s your Uncle!
Knitted in Eos laceweight with a goodly sprinkling of gold no 8 seed beads this kit was sent out with numerous other little goodies as a Christmas package to those who signed up.
The packages have now all been received so I feel safe posting this and not spoiling anyone’s surprise.
Here is a picture of the green version , which I intend to wear on Christmas day.
and yes I know my lawn needs mowing – who would have thought it would still be growing at the end of November when this photo was taken – or that the sun would be shining.
The club is obviously now closed, but the pattern will be available on general release later in next year.
You can go and drool over the one’s in progress here
In the run up to Christmas I will be showing some of the past Christmas Club designs that are available for purchase on Ravelry.
Now I need to go finish knitting my last Christmas gift, see you later!
