The last couple of weeks have flown by!
I have been working hard on submissions, several have been sent off and I now have the nail biting wait to see if they are accepted.
I have yarn for 3 promised designs on the way, none of which I can show you because they are secret until they come out.
My yarn from Kristin Omdhal is here, and is as gorgeous as it looked in the photo and eminently strokable ( it is bamboo after all) but it will have to go on the back burner for a few weeks until I can get everything currently in the queue out of the way, not that I can’t start dreaming, even if I can’t start swatching 😉
Meanwhile on the needles I have a mystery sock, which is my design for the Bleeping Sock Games on Ravelry. I have designed at least one sock for this annual sockfest every year and this year my chosen game was easy. Usually I have to scratch my head a bit, because I don’t play video games, never have, but thankfully hubby does so I get to see all the ones he is playing and choose from those. I can’t give which one it is away, but it really was a no brainer.
Suffice it to say this is a picture of the wrong side of the swatch.
Tells you absolutely nothing right? Good! Wouldn’t want to spoil the surprise ;-).
If you want to join in there is still time. You can go sign up here. http://www.ravelry.com/groups/the-bleeping-sockgames
While waiting for yarn and beads to arrive, I am knitting on a couple of little things.
A colleague at school is expecting a little girl, and being French she is very into classic French baby clothes, so I just have to knit this little number.

I am sure Florence won’t mind me borrowing her pictures, the link below them will take you to the pattern purchase page. I have made several of her classic little French baby patterns, this time, rather than the navy blue and white above, I am using mid grey with pale pink trim and collar. The Yarn is Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino and is so yummy!
Front and one back done, second back half done, just sleeves and collar to go before all the sewing up.
Also on the needles is an ongoing scarf for my daughter. It was originally going to be Optical Delusion – Conflagration, but to be honest, I kept getting lost in all the swapping and changing of the short rows. I may knit this some other time, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this innovative pattern, but right now I need some fairly mindless, in front of the tele knitting so the yarn is being used for a Hitchhiker scarf/ shawl instead. Lots of garter st, bit of increasing on the bias and no real thinking required, I can even knit on this in the dark!
Hopefully I will soon have something a bit more interesting to show you, but I leave you with a picture of where the knitters have got to with A Wrinkle in Time. Clue 6 was sent out Friday, only two more to go and we are done!
